THURSDAY SEPTEMBER FIFTEENTH, 1999 EVENING EDITION * 25¢

WHAT A LINE UP!

The sponsors; Budweiser, Camel Cigarettes, KISS 107fm, WAIF 88.3fm, City Beat, and the Mad Frog. The Bands; Witchazel, Able, Shattered Insanity, Kidymcus, Furios George (sorry if we forgot anyone). All these organizations joined forces last night to showcase some of the heaviest fresh talent in Cincinnati. Witchazel opened the show with a condensed monster set. The trio seemed fine tuned as they rocked out the Mad Frog. The show was intended to boost membership on the Witchazel mailing list for the upcoming EP release. It turned into a full throttled storm of overbearing groove.

The show is still early in Witchazel's Ohio campaign, but it seems word is spreading quickly. The trio has already found a radio show to host them, Thanks to WAIF and the guys at Radio Freakency for help in spreading the word!

The next scheduled Ohio stop is Sadie Rene's in Canton. Audio and video of this show will be available world wide on the web within a week of the show. This is an Early October date. Plans are being formulated to instate a mini-tour in Cleveland preceeding the Canton show (no confirmed dates at press time). Witchazel is also working on getting back in Cincinnati by November.

A debut on the West Virginia scene is scheduled on September 21 at Yesterday's in Huntington, leaving little time to return and regroup for a show at the University of Kentucky Student Center (in Lexington) the following day. The Lexington show is free to the public and all ages are invited to attend. For those who will be unable to make it, don't worry! The show is planned to be broadcast live on 88.1 WRFL.

Witchazel encourages everyone to come out and show your support for Local Music. Special thanks goes out to guys at WRFL and the rest of the people responsible for organizing this show. Witchazel may also bring a special guest with them from their recent trip to Ohio.

The Witchazel calendar will start thinning out as they prepare to enter Tune Town Studio's to begin recording their debut EP. They hope to be able to keep with the scheduled release in December '99. With shows in Northern Ohio and West Virginia as well as unconfirmed dates in Nashville and Washington, D.C. and rumors of a fourth member being auditioned for the line up, it is unclear how this will effect the release date.
