THAYIL SPOTTED AT WITCHAZEL SHOW

Yesterday, Witchazel rolled back onto the world renowned Firehouse stage in Richmond, KY. They came to play what was meant to be a quite low profile performance for their closest fans. The bill had them sandwiched between Zero Zero and the over the edge rockers Phigment, although it appears word of the heavy-ass triple bill got out.

Everything was going as planned as Zero Zero cranked out a killer set. The members of Witchazel were backstage tuning and making final adjustments to their equipment, when strange sightings began occurring. It seems several drunken patrons reported seeing Kim Thayil of Soundgarden fame "just hanging out". Perhaps waiting to check out a Witchazel show, or just passing through.

We may never know if it was really him or what he might be doing at the Firehouse, because before his many fans could pin him down Witchazel took the stage. With the sound of furious guitar crunch, it began.....

The trio seemed comfortable as they played a short set in front of the near capacity crowd. They played just enough of their growing set to give their fans a sneak preview of the upcoming EP, "Bonescraper". Plans are still for an early December release, but the boys are working hard to push that date up. It is uncertain how this will effect their mutible state romp down to the East Coast, planned to end in Washington DC in late November.

Dave is quoted as saying, "We will see how the combination of the road and the studio treats us. Hopefully we can come out in 2000 with a shiny new recording and a few thousand miles under our tires." On the road or in the studio, Witchazel plans to rock the hell out of the final days of the Millennium.
